    Hi, I'm planning on reloading the .308 Winchester with a 190 grain Hornady Sub-X bullet. I have 3 Vithavuori powders available: N120 - N135 - N540 I would like to get around 320 mt/sec. on the Benelli Lupo 1/10" rifle Where do you think we should start?

    • @BTOMF
      @BTOMF 3 дні тому

      Out of those, 120. But I would try to find N110

      Oh you know what, I was thinking 300 blackout. You don't want to use any of those powders for 308. Trail boss is your best bet if you can find it.

    • @warewolf6344

      .300 BLK I have the CZ 600 Trail (1/7") rifle with which I reload the 190 Sub-X and Reload Swiss RS-30 Swiss powder with excellent results in subsonic with sound suppressor at 325 m/sec. For the .308 Winchester, however, I use the Italian Nobel Sport Vectan A1 powder in subsonic mode. However, I wanted to use Vithavuori powders. So nothing. When the RS-30 runs out, I consume the N120 on the .300 AAC Blackout

    I'm a cheap ass too...but I have two vises...one for metal, and one for wood that has wood screwed to the inside of the jaws...the wood won't mar up your parts...but you may have to check your tightness every few minutes...never had one come out on me, but always good to make sure a gas block doesn't pop out and dent your forehead...😂

    Dang man that sucks! KAC ain’t cheap either. I’m finishing my build tomorrow with a level I ordered for Xmas (it’s the badger ordnance condition one ACD level). I’m hoping it’s as good as they say. It’s adjustable out of the box so I can adjust it to my rifle and secure it, it also has a space for me to insert tritium vials for night time and low light. I hope it’s good to go. The mount was 320, then I added an accessory mount and ring for a red dot (120 for the ARC, 40 for the ACRO mount), now 120 for their level. At 580 before taxes and shipping my mount is worth more than most people’s red dots alone. It better be good to go. This sucks.

    Thanks for the video! Can you share what end cap material you chose? POM or aluminum? I have a Western Aigrun Sidewinder Compact and an AEA challenger Pro, both are bare barrel without any shroud, do you think I should get the high flow core?

    • @BTOMF
      @BTOMF Місяць тому

      Sounds like you might, but I would try and use the flow factor calculator to make sure. Defaulting to the high flow isn't always the quietest. With all that being said, I bet high flow is what you'll need.

      I used my iPhone to measure the Sarissa, 78db with an impact mkii 80ft/lbs. The iPhone app is more accurate and consistent than you would think. The Hill EC-1000 compressor manual states 85db at 3ft and that’s exactly what my iphone app measures. It’s so much quieter than the DonnyFL Sumo. Even the Falx is and the Falx is shorter than the Sumo.

    The 4 2 10 name was coined by Pitmaster X. Pitmaster X made a video of the cook because he was so impressed with this particular cooking method. But the strategy was developed by Steve Gow at Smoke Trails BBQ, and he didn't call it 4 2 10. And for the record, I don't like the name 4 2 10 because it's not really 4 2 10. The timing is dependent on the size of the brisket and some other things. You have to follow the procedure outlined by Steve Gow. It does work because I have done it half a dozen times and it's basically foolproof - provided you follow Steve Gow's strategy.

The 6.5 has a higher case pressure and blows the primers back into the f.p that bends your f.p retainer and causes light strikes. Look at your primers that are going off.
